Oil repellence coating prevents the spreading of oil, there is contraction of oil film, resulting in oil on the surface of the shaft going into individual drops. Under the influence of centrifugal forces tearing occurs oil droplets from the shaft, which allows practically to stop the oil leak through the seal.
